publicweave.com is the marketing site for PublicWeave. It describes our products, publishes information about our methodology, and links to our report-card and premium applications. It is provided free of charge as general information.
You may browse, read, and share links to this site freely. You may not: (a) scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for others; (b) copy substantial portions of our content and republish it under your own brand; (c) use the site to build a competing directory of government agencies; (d) attempt to breach our security.
Grades, scores, visualizations, written content, and imagery on this site are either produced by PublicWeave or sourced from public records of government agencies. Our original content is protected by copyright. Public-record data remains public; derived grades and analyses are ours.
You may share individual report cards and link to this site. You may not systematically reproduce our grade database or methodology as your own.
We work hard to make our grades accurate. Data is extracted from public filings by automated pipelines and reviewed by humans where feasible, but errors happen. Grades are opinions informed by data, not official ratings. They are not financial advice. They are not a substitute for consulting with your auditor, bond counsel, finance director, or elected officials.
If you believe a grade is wrong, use the "Upload your data" button on any agency's report card. We review every submission.
This site contains links to third-party websites — state comptroller filings, Census data, agency budget books, and more. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content.
